At 10 am Mrs. Ruth Keighley will guide us on creating Wills & Trusts when there is a member of the family with a learning difficulty or disability. Mrs. Keighley makes her talk lively and interesting but also shows how complicated safeguarding any money intended for a person with a disability can be. She will be happy to answer questions either generally or one-to-one after lunch.

A member of the Down’s Syndrome Medical Interest Group, Dr. Rebecca Ferris, will be pleased to join us at 11.15. She will explain some of the health problems which parents may encounter when bringing up a child with Down’s syndrome and will then take questions until 12.30. At 12.30 trustees will give you a brief run down on the year’s activities and welcome your input on plans and ideas for the coming months. Please consider volunteering to help with ensuring dsOK continues to provide information and support for our members now and into the future.

Our programme has been posted to members and a copy can be downloaded from the Events Section under Downloads. Please book in advance especially if you would like to join us for lunch. It is hoped many members and friends will stay to meet and chat for a while after lunch. There will be space and some supervision for children. If you are not able to make other arrangements, please bring an activity which your child/children can share with others.
